Tour Description

This 5-hour private guided hiking tour takes you through a mountain ridge circuit hike with stunning panoramic views of Mt. Fuji.

On a ridge not too far from Lake Shojiko, hikers are the only ones who can reach a famous viewpoint called Panoramadai. Starting from the lake, an initial climb through an enchanting forest takes you up onto the ridge.

At approximately 1,310 meters, meet the Panoramadai vantage point. This viewpoint to Mt. Fuji provides the first climax to the hike. Before your eyes, the landscape stretches away in the distance, and a perfectly composed view of Mt. Fuji and Aokigahara forest opens out. On the right, you enjoy beautiful views of Lake Motosuko below.

From Panoramadai, the hike continues along the mountain ridge, and you encounter the next beautiful photo opportunity near the Shoji Pass. Here hikers can capture a unique composition of photographs - Mt. Fuji, Mt. Omuro, Aokigahara forest, and Lake Shojiko in line.

Once the views have been absorbed, appreciated, and captured, the path leads back through the forest down to Lake Shojiko.

While the panoramic views to Mt. Fuji are the highlight of this enjoyable hike, the forest cloaking the slopes of mountains adds its own interest. They are beautiful all year round, but the spring and autumn, in particular, witness the forest changing colors and surprising with delicate spring flowers.

This satisfying circuit hike explores the landscapes which surround Mt. Fuji and, at the same time, reveals hidden panoramic viewpoints.

There is accommodation at Lake Shojiko, and this means that, if desired, you can personalize the hike to catch Panoramadai at sunrise or sunset.
